Jared has experience supporting people in aged care and high-care environments, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility and manual handling while maintaining privacy, dignity and respect.
His experience with higher physical support needs includes hoisting and transfers between beds, wheelchairs, commodes and vehicles, as well as bowel care, catheter care and routine health monitoring.
Within community and mental health support settings, he has provided emotional support, companionship, behaviour observation and de-escalation, while helping people maintain daily routines and participate in meaningful activities.
He has also supported participants with walks, games, social outings, exercise and day programs, encouraging participation and greater independence through activities suited to individual interests and goals.
