Which areas do you deliver support in?

 

We provide NDIS support on the Sunshine Coast, from Caloundra to Maroochydore, Landsborough to Nambour, Nambour to Coolum. Including Palmwoods,  Buderim, Sippy Downs, Mountain Creek, Mooloolaba, Birtinia, Buddina, Warana, Maroochydore, Mudjimba, Marcoola, Bli Bli, Keils Mountains, Woombye, Palmwoods. Accessing Our Services

 

What are the requirements to access the NDIS Funds/ Scheme?

 

To be eligible for the NDIS funds, you must:

  • have a permanent and significant disability or a developmental delay
  • be an Australian citizen, hold a Permanent Visa or a Protected Special Category Visa
  • be under 65 years of age
  • require support from a person or equipment to do everyday activities.

To be eligible for our NDIS services, you must:

  • meet the NDIS eligibility criteria
  • have an NDIS plan that identifies the services provided
  • have an NDIS support plan that requires services that are included in our registration groups
  • have funds available in your plan to pay for our services.

 

Do you offer services to the wider community, through age care home packages and to the private clients?

 

Yes, we do provide our home support services to the community, private clients and self-managed clients with Home care Age Package

 

Can I request your support services without a Support Coordinator?

 

Yes, absolutely. Please send us an enquiry form or request or call us.

Understanding Support Roles

 

What is the difference between NDIS Support Coordinator and Psychosocial recovery coach?

 

Both roles are dedicated to ensuring you access the right services and supports to live a fulfilling life, each with a unique focus tailored to meet different needs.

 

NDIS Support Coordinator:

  • Focuses on navigating the NDIS system and making your plan actionable.
  • Helps identify and connect with suitable service providers, understand funding, and coordinate services to achieve your goals.
  • Acts as a guide to implement your NDIS plan effectively.

Psychosocial Recovery Coach:

  • Specialises in supporting individuals with mental health conditions  and psychosocial disabilities through their recovery journey.
  • Works on developing a recovery plan, building skills for resilience and independence, and navigating mental health services.
  • Provides targeted coaching and support to enhance well-being and achieve recovery goals.

Service Specifics

 

Can I engage Assist Lifestyle in only one support service?  For example, I am looking only for Domestic assistance/NDIS Cleaning?

 

Yes, you can engage us for specific support services. Please contact us to discuss further.

 

Will you Domestic Assistants/ Cleaners bring the equipment like vacuum, mop and chemicals?

 

Yes, it could be arranged for you at the extra charge. Our Domestic assistants/cleaners use professional equipment like vacuum cleaners and mop. Also, they bring chemicals if you do not have one. Please advise if you like us to use eco friendly chemicals like vinegar, bicarbonate soda etc.

 

Please note that NDIS Funds do not cover cost of chemicals and equipment, it is considered to be an everyday expense and has to be covered by participant.

I am looking for a Support Worker with sewing skills on Sunshine Coast to teach me how to sew and mentor me how to make dresses. 

 

The Assist Lifestyle support team got you covered. We have a very skilled Support worker in our team with 10 years of experience in sewing clothes, She could assist you with altering clothes and dress making.

 

I am looking support worker on Sunshine Coast with experience to support participants with PTSD or Psychosocial Disabilities 

 

Yes, we can assist. Our team understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with PTSD and other psychosocial disabilities. Our team includes experienced support workers who specialize in providing compassionate, tailored support for those dealing with PTSD and psychosocial conditions. Our aim is to enhance your well-being and support you in your journey towards recovery and independence.

 

Do you have a backup team member in case my regular worker is on holidays,  sick leave or unavailable?

 

Yes, we do have a backup staff member. So, you will not miss the appointments or be left alone without the support.We ensure continuity of care by having backup staff members available, so your support remains uninterrupted.

General Information

 

Can I arrange the meet and greet before signing a service agreement?

 

Yes, we are happy to arrange the meet and greet or  trial  service and deliver the support to your satisfaction.

 

Do you provide a participant Handbook with all information about your company and Services you provide?

 

Yes, please send us a request and we forward you our Handbook ASAP.

 

Will the NDIS funds  affect my Disability Support Pension?

 

Not at all. The NDIS doesn’t affect income supports like your Carer Payment, Carer Supplement, Carer Allowance or your Child Disability Assistance Payment.

 

What is ILO?

 

An Individualised Living Option (ILO) is an NDIS support that lets you choose the home you live in and set up supports in the way that best suits you. An ILO is a package of support that can help you live how you want in the home environment you have chosen. It’s not the home itself.

 

What is STA?

Short term accommodation (STA)  allows NDIS participants and their carers to have a break and change of scenery.The NDIS can fund Short Term Accommodation as a way of providing respite care, however it’s a support that’s often misunderstood.

ASSIST LIFESTYLE PTY LTD recognises your right to feel safe and to live in an environment where you are protected from assault, neglect, exploitation or any other form of abuse.

 

We encourage and support any person who has witnessed the abuse towards one of our participants, or who suspects that abuse has occurred, to make a report and be confident of doing so without fear of retribution. Our reporting process includes any kind of abuse, including financial, emotional, social, psychological, sexual, physical abuse or neglect.


You can make a report to whomever you feel comfortable and safe with, this may include one of our employees, our Director, a family member, your advocate or a trusted friend.
