Meet Fan, an Experienced Support Worker
Fan is a warm, respectful and adaptable Support Worker with experience across aged care, personal care, Supported Independent Living (SIL), home-based support and domestic assistance.
As a nursing student with hands-on experience as a Personal Care Worker, cleaner and food service assistant, she brings a thoughtful and person-centred approach focused on dignity, comfort, safety and independence.
She also has experience supporting participants who require 24/7 care in SIL and their own homes, assisting with daily routines, personal care, mobility, meal support, household tasks and wellbeing.
Her multilingual skills allow her to communicate effectively and build rapport with participants and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Fan has experience working as a Personal Care Worker in aged care, assisting residents with activities of daily living including feeding, mobility, hygiene and personal care while monitoring changes in wellbeing and working closely with nursing staff.
Her experience in SIL and home-based support includes assisting participants who require ongoing or 24/7 care with personal routines, mobility, meals, domestic tasks, wellbeing checks and safe community participation.
She has also worked within aged care environments providing cleaning, laundry, food preparation and mealtime assistance, including supporting dietary requirements and maintaining safe, hygienic living spaces.

Fan is comfortable working in homes with pets and assistance animals and is confident around a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds and reptiles. She can assist with general pet-related routines such as feeding, walking and grooming where appropriate and understands the important role animals can play in companionship, wellbeing and daily routines.
