Support Worker

Meet Ty, an experienced Support Worker with a background in disability support, psychosocial support, teaching, mentoring and community-based work.
With around three years of experience, he has supported participants with daily routines, life skills, emotional regulation, community access, social participation and building greater independence. His approach is calm, structured and person-centred, with a focus on building trust and supporting each participant’s individual goals.
He uses trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches and adapts his communication to suit different needs, learning styles and cultural backgrounds. His experience in teaching and mentoring also gives him strong skills in encouragement, communication, coaching and confidence building.
Currently studying a Certificate IV in Community Services.
Around three years of experience across disability support, psychosocial support, daily living assistance, community participation, mentoring and teaching.
Holds a current NDIS Worker Screening clearance, Blue Card, First Aid, CPR and NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate.
Holds a current Australian driver licence and has a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance, supporting community access and transport where appropriate.
